Things To Do MeOw:

Discover Your Inner Artist with a Little Help from Monet on the Rocks!

Tired of boring Happy Hours, bars and doing the same ol’ things with your friends? Want to try something new and fun? If yes, then please allow me to suggest a paint night with Monet on the Rocks (aka Paint, Sip and Eat Nights)!

Last night I went to my first Monet on the Rocks painting event at Shaggy’s in Biloxi. The cost was only $40 and it included a canvas, supplies (paint & brushes) a work apron, an adult beverage and a variety of delicious appetizers. Anita O’Dell, the class instructor, filled the room with her upbeat energy while encouraging and helping everyone in the class.

The class is perfect for all levels of artists, including beginners! Everyone is painting the same picture, in this case we were painting a beach scene, and it’s a thrill to see how each person’s painting is different and reflects their personal style.

The event lasted 2 hours which was plenty of time to paint, eat and make new friends. Whether you go in a group or by yourself (as I did) you are sure to have a wonderful time. Even those who’ve never attempted to paint are pleasantly surprised with their beautiful creation at the end of the night.

Hopefully we’ll be painting together soon at an upcoming event!
